No:264/21, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Plurinational State of Bolivia

An exchange of congratulatory letters between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries took place on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Plurinational State of Bolivia.

Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, In his letter to his counterpart, stressed the fruitful cooperation carried out by our governments over the past 25 years, in particular, the fact that the chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) gave impetus to the development of relations between the two countries. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stressed the importance of comprehensive and consistent cooperation between the two countries, both at the bilateral level and within international organizations, noting that there are wide opportunities for this.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the signing of a trilateral statement that put an end to the military occupation of Armenia for almost 30 years has created new prospects for peace, security and cooperation in the region, and the new situation in the region opens up opportunities for regional cooperation. It was noted that the settlement of the conflict also created opportunities for expanding relations between Azerbaijan and Bolivia.

In a letter to Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Rogelio Mayta Mayta noted that over the past 25 years, Azerbaijan and Bolivia have established deep friendly relations based on mutual respect and support.

Minister Rogelio Mayta Mayta expressed interest in continuing the dialogue with the Republic of Azerbaijan on issues of mutual and multilateral interest, as well as strengthening the deep ties that unite our governments for the benefit of our peoples.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Plurinational State of Bolivia were established on July 8, 1996.
