No:298/21, Information of the Press Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the telephone conversation between Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu

On August 7, 2021, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

The ministers exchanged views on the current situation with forest fires in Turkey and ongoing firefighting operations.

Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu thanked Azerbaijan for sending a new group of firefighters and technical assistance on the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Informing about the progress of the firefighting process, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu noted that fires were prevented in Antalya and work was underway to restore the damaged infrastructure. At the same time, he said that fire prevention operations were still underway in a number of other places.

In turn, Jeyhun Bayramov stressed that the Azerbaijani side is always next to brotherly Turkey and is ready to provide all necessary support.
