An exhibition dedicated to Victory Day and National Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan was opened in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

On the occasion of Victory Day and National Flag Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an exhibition entitled "Republic of Azerbaijan: a land of ancient culture and rich traditions" was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Bulgaria in Plovdiv city on 9 November 2021.

The opening of the exhibition reflecting the history, rich culture and ancient traditions of Azerbaijan was attended by officials of the Plovdiv municipality, members of the local Turkish community and media representatives.

Opening the exhibition, Ambassador Huseyn Huseynov said that the Victory Day and the National Flag Day are very significant and important in the history of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani territories have been under occupation for 30 years as a result of Armenian aggression.  As a result of the 44-day Patriotic War, which took place last year Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity, as well as historical justice and the rule of law.

Ambassador stressed that different ethnic groups and religious sects have lived together in peace and tranquility in Azerbaijan for centuries, and spoke about the exemplary role of Azerbaijan in the world, providing a tolerant and multicultural environment in society.

The opening of the three-week exhibition in the central square of Plovdiv was met with great interest by residents and visitors.
