I am greeting you on behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Bulgaria. It is a great honor for me to represent the government and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan in such a beautiful country as Bulgaria.
The Republic of Bulgaria was among the first countries which recognized the sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan after restoration of its state independence with the collapse of the USSR. The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Bulgaria were established on 5 June 1992.
The relations between the two countries which are of strategic partnership nature are based on mutual trust and equality. Political, economic, humanitarian, cultural, education, scientific and other fields of cooperation have been developing in a dynamic way within the bilateral relations.
