A wreath composition embodying the Kharybulbul flower was presented in Bulgaria
On the occasion of the Victory Day anniversary, a presentation ceremony of a wreath composition embodying the Kharibulbul flower, which became a symbol of Azerbaijan's Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, was held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The opening ceremony was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Bulgaria and the Sofia City Hall at the most visited and loved Vrana Park-Museum located in Sofia city.
The opening ceremony was attended by Bulgarian officials, heads of diplomatic corps accredited in Bulgaria, as well as members of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
Opening the event, Ambassador Huseyn Huseynov spoke about the path to the brilliant Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Ambassador informed the visitors that after restoration of independence, 20 percent of Azerbaijan's lands were occupied for 30 years as a result of military aggression by Armenia.
Ambassador Huseynov said that during the 44-day Patriotic War the Armenian armed forces committed another act of aggression against Azerbaijan by targeting Ganja, Barda, Tartar, Goranboy and other cities with ballistic missiles, killing and injuring many civilians. Azerbaijan used its right of self-defense to liberate the occupied territories as a result of its counter-offensive operations. The ambassador noted that the memory of our compatriots who died and were wounded for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country was honored and their bravery was commemorated with dignity.
The composition of Kharibulbul presented in the Vrana park-museum was met with great interest by guests and numerous visitors of the park.
