8 November - Victory Day was celebrated in Bulgaria
On 8 November, the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Bulgaria visited the Khari-Bulbul flower composition built on the occasion of “November 8 Victory Day” in the Vrana Park of Sofia.
Victory Day was celebrated at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the participation of representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, as well as Bulgarian friends of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the event, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria Huseyn Huseynov spoke about the history and significance of this glorious victory, which is a source of pride for our people, and noted that the large-scale reconstruction work carried out by Azerbaijan in the territories razed to the ground by Armenia during the nearly thirty-year military occupation clearly shows who the true owners of these lands are. The holiday event featured video clips about the far-sighted policy implemented by the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, as well as the historic victory achieved at the expense of the lives of Azerbaijani martyrs.
In addition, on the occasion of Victory Day, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria and the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture under the St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University announced an essay competition among Bulgarian students and youth on the topic "The role of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, in the development of Eastern culture and language."
