Azerbaijan represented at the 20th International "Cultural Tourism" exhibition held in Bulgaria
Azerbaijan was represented by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria and the Shusha City State Reserve at the 20th International "Cultural Tourism" exhibition held in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria, on October 8-10.
It was noted that the Shusha City State Reserve displayed photographic materials, English-language tourist brochures and booklets that embody the historical and cultural uniqueness, tourism potential and rich natural beauty of Shusha at the exhibition. Representatives of the Reserve provided the exhibition participants with detailed information about Shusha's tourist attractions, ways for tourists to get to the city, as well as the restoration and reconstruction measures being carried out in Shusha under the direct supervision of President Ilham Aliyev.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria displayed a national stand at the exhibition reflecting the cultural tourism resources of Azerbaijan, its ancient history, customs and traditions, rich culture, and fascinating nature, presenting relevant photographs, national souvenirs and carpets, as well as samples of national cuisine.
The exhibition also featured photographs depicting Shusha's historical and cultural elements, stunning nature, and rich architectural style with the support of the Baku Media Center.
Within the framework of the 20th "Cultural Tourism" exhibition, on October 9, the Azerbaijani delegation also met with Mr. Daniel Panov, Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo. The meeting discussed the expansion of cultural and tourism relations between the sister cities of Shusha and Veliko Tarnovo, the realization of mutual visits, the organization of cultural and tourism events, as well as the exchange of experience.
It should be noted that the international "Cultural Tourism" exhibition, held annually with the participation of the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria, heads of relevant authorities, and representatives of local and international municipalities, is the only exhibition platform specializing in this field in the Balkan region and lasts 3 days.
