Victory Day of Azerbaijan was joyously celebrated in Sofia with the participation of representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, diplomats, as well as Bulgarian friends of Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, Chingiz Garibli, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Bulgaria, emphasized the political and historical significance of the brilliant victory won by the Azerbaijani army under the professional leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, against the aggression and ethnic cleansing policy of Armenia, and noted that after the victory, Azerbaijan, as always, established a policy of peace and regional cooperation, as well as that the large-scale reconstruction and reconstruction work carried out in the liberated territories within the framework of the Great Return Strategy of Azerbaijan allowed Azerbaijanis to return to their native lands.
Sofia Shigayeva-Mitresca, head of the Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center of the Baku Slavic University operating at Sofia University, and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, Sabir Guliyev and Nargiz Ahmadova, spoke about the material and moral blows inflicted on the Azerbaijani people by the Armenian occupation, and noted the special importance of the magnificent victory of the Azerbaijani army with the solidarity of our people under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the reconstruction activities carried out by the Azerbaijani state in the liberated lands for the future of Azerbaijan.
